Cha Cha Chat is a workshop of two parts, where the participants explore alternative tools for communicating online and discuss how distinct tools can fit different contexts and circumstances.
The first part of the workshop is a hands-on session of testing alternative chat software and discovering similarities and differences with popular centralized chat applications.
The second part of the workshop is an embodied exercise of taking the roles of users, servers and clients trying to deliver messages to one another. The aim is to understand diverse network topologies.
The workshop was developed together with Rita Graça and took place in WDKA, during the .py.rate.chnic sessions of XPUB.
